Gracee

Meet Gracee

I am Gracee, the oldest. I was born in March 2011; I am a straight-eared Scottish Fold -- orange, cute and fluffy. But just because I am cute and just less than 8 pounds, doesn’t mean that I am a push over. I tell the others what to do….hssss…spat. I have to be fearsome so they respect me. And they do, they respect me. Really. Now when it comes to people….red alert! If they might be ok, I sit at the top of the second floor stairs and watch them; but if they aren’t ok, I dive under the bed covers and wait until the danger has exited. View Gracee's Posts.

GRACEE ON WATCH DUTY

I watch everything and everyone from my cat walk.

I watch everyone & everything. I still look for my first, favorite & only older brother, Tigger. Meowmuh says he was SO sick & had to 'cross over the bridge.'  Read Meowmuh's Mews 'N News Article: "Cancer:  Mast Cell Tumors."

MORE NECK CONE DILEMMAS: GROOMING

CAN YOU GROOM WITH A NECK CONE ON?

Here is Tigger, patiently trying to groom.  Neck cones make it hard to eat, drink, groom, meow, walk, sleep...everything. Click on Meowmuh's article "Neck Cones" in MEWS 'N NEWS.  A must read if your cat has to be 'coned.'

A NECK CONE DILEMMA: STAIRS

A NECK CONE DILEMMA: STAIRS

My big brother, Tigger, looks so sad!  It's hard to come down the stairs with that 'thing' around his neck.  He just had his third tumor removed.  He lived 5 more years. He taught me important stuff like when & where to hide.  I miss him.

ALL BOXED IN

It is my feline duty to explore every box.

You see me in the box because I am the eldest and in charge.  I investigate everything that comes into our house.  After all, investigating is a feline's instinctive and mandatory obligation.  Everyone knows that.  Right?

HELP! CALL 911! THE NEW SERUM/PLASMA CURE

We were just playing; Inkee-Bear didn't mean to cut my eye.

It is midnight. Inkee and I are rolling around on the carpet near Meowmuh's office chair. We are helping her write on her cat-puter. Oh, oh, something is wrong with my eye.  It hurts!  I stop playing and sit by Meowmuh's chair.  I try to look up at her but I can't see very well.  Meowmuh looks down at me..

THE ALUMINUM FOIL CAPER

So, you think aluminum foil will keep cats out of your planters? Well, think again.

My little brother, Inkee, is very small for a guy.  But his ideas are really big!  Meowmuh puts sheets of aluminum foil around her big plants to keep us out. My older brother, Tigger, doesn't like the aluminum foil so we have never gone in the plants.  But Inkee?

PER TIGGER: CONSUMER RATED BEST HIDING SPOTS & CAT-WATCH PERCHES

My big brother shows me the coolest places to cat-watch.

My new big brother, Tigger, teaches me the ropes.  When you are scared, you have to quickly find the best hiding spot.  Tigger says:  "Dive under the comforter on the bed and stay there until the danger passes.  You might have to wait for a few hours.

TV WATCHING & CAT-CHING

I can do it. I can catch that car! Just watch me.

My REAL challenge?  Cat-ching prey on this TV screen.  I might only be a kitten but I was born to hunt and cat-ch things...any thing!  It takes skill, stealth and a big dose of patience. My prey moves really fast but they aren't faster than me.

CRUISIN' N MY TREE

Ok, ok. So, it took me a few days to find my tree.

I found the best spot yet...a cat tree.  If I squish myself really flat, no one can see me.  But if I sit up, I can see the whole downstairs.

THE LILAC PILLOW

Now this is what I call soft.

Could I find a more comfortable spot?  I don't think so.  It is much softer than the mouse pad.  Know what's really cool?  All I have to do is turn my head and I can see everything in my backyard....birds, squirrels, a coyote or two and, when it gets dark, I can see possums creeping by and racoons bouncing around.  Meowmuh says we cannot go outs
